Matt is 20 years into his Police/K9 career at Pocono Mountain Regional Police Department in Pennsylvania. He is a survivor of the September 11, 2001 attacks commuting out of the towers that day in New York City.
Since then, Matt has dedicated his life to serving and protecting our Country. He immediately came back home and secured a Police job in the Poconos and fast tracked his way into a K9 Position. Fast forward 20 years and he has worked K9 Kane, K9 Niko and currently K9 Creed. The dogs speak for themselves. Working with FBI , DEA, The Attorney Generals Office, US Marshals and The Pennsylvania State Police East and West Swat teams. His partners are the go to team in the Northeast corridor. Working as dual purpose K9’s. The team has amassed multimillions in US Currency, narcotics, guns and vehicles. They have been awarded Drug task force Officer/ team of the year 2 times. His K9 partners have been involved in hundreds of high risk search warrants and statewide manhunts. Thousands of deployments that lead to hundreds of apprehensions have streamlined Matt to the point where it’s time to give back and teach. K9 Creed and Matt were awarded one of the highest K9 honors the 2022 K9 Valor Award for the North American Police Working Dog Association.
Matt has been a professional K9 Decoy since 2004. Since then, he has worked on his craft and enhanced his ground fighting techniques. Matt believes the fight with K9 and suspect usually and eventually goes to the ground. This is where the team becomes one and dominates their adversary.
